Gov. Kashim Shettima receives Physically Challenged persons, offered to support them An Association Physically Challenged Persons was at the Government House Maiduguri on last week to pledge their loyalty to Governor Kashim Shettima ahead of 2015 general election and thanked the Governor for appointing the Emir of the blind as his Senior Special Assistant. They said the administration of Gov. Kashim Shettima has taken care of all their needs more especially by the training of 80 of the members in different field of skill acquisition at the Sani Abatcha rehabilitation centre. However, they called on the Governor to enlarge the scheme to accommodate all of them so that it would completely take them off the streets of Maiduguri and also to provide the elderly among them with capital so as to enable them start business. The Governor thanked them for the visit and promised to look into their demands. He equally donated two golf saloon cars and undisclosed amount of money to the association.
