Gov. Obiano flags off the construction of more roads in the state Category: Anambra Published: 24 January 2015 Governor Willie Obiano yesterday flagged off the construction of Nnewi Urban roads.They are Coscharis, Onuzulike Okonkwo and Francis Maduka Roads. A public service announcement signed by the Commissioner for Works, Sir Callistus Ilozumba, says the ceremony will take place at the Coscharis Road, beginning at ten o’clock in the morning. It invites all members of the state Executive Council, the Speaker and Members of the State House of Assembly, the Chairmen of Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas to the event. Also to attend are traditional rulers and Presidents-general of town unions from the two local government areas, the clergy, party faithful, market men and women and the public. Similarly, Governor Obiano will flag off the construction of the Ozubulu – Ihembosi – Ukpor Road today by twelve noon.The ceremony will take place at the Ihembosi section of the road. According to the Works Commissioner, Sir Callistus, all members of the State Executive Council, the Speaker and Members of the State Legislature, the Chairmen of Ekwusigo, Ihiala and Nnewi South Local Government Areas, traditional rulers and presidents-general of all the towns in the council areas are invited to the flag-off ceremony. Equally invited are the clergy, party faithful, market men and women and members of the public.
