Government has no control over builders and real estate in India I "assume". Why should a 1 BHK flat in the middle of nowhere should cost 35 lacs. Can the so called "common man" even think of buying house in India. It is quite intimidating to even check prices of houses in the news papers or on internet. Why are there no more schemes like CIDCO or HUDCO or MAHADA coming up in big way for the "poor Indians" who work in air conditioned offices however their salaries prohibit them from thinking to buy a flat. These are my views.
