Governor Amaechi, you are not bigger than the APC- John - TopicsExpress

Governor Amaechi, you are not bigger than the APC- John Oyegun The national leadership of the APC has discovered a ground plot by the Governor of Rivers state; Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi to dump the party, immediately after the partys convention. A move that will ultimately jeopardize the electoral fortunes of the APC in the south-south. The party in a statement by the national chairman Chief John Oyegun, reminded the governor, that the APC was formed by the merger of three legacy parties; ANPP, CPC and ACN. That the aggrieved PDP governors were merely admitted into an already-made party. And as such, no governor or any individual can claim ownership of the party. We have discovered a vindictive plot by the governor of Rivers State, to destroy the APC in the south-south. Governor Amaechi has been threatening to leave the party, if the party fails to make him an automatic running mate to our presidential candidate. We therefore wish to advise the governor to tread with caution, as no single individual can claim ownership of the party. The aggrieved PDP governors were merely admitted into the APC. And a mere admittance does not translate to ownership at any level. The APC believes in internal democracy and shall elect its candidate at the partys convention. And we expect the governor and all other aspirants for that matter, to begin to reach out to fellow party men and women, to canvass for support. As progressives, and a disciplined party, we will not tolerate political brigands; who resort to cut-throat strategies to incite and pitch party men against the other for selfish reasons. And the party will not hesitate to wield the big stick, should the governor continue with his threat. I hereby encourage Senator Magnus, Hon. Dakuku, Hon. Ngofa and all other party faithful in the state to remain steadfast Chief John Oyegun warns. #SayNoToAPC #SupportPGEJ2015 #SupportNEW4Gov
