Governor Elechis lost ground in the 2015 guber polls. Though a sitting governor has enormous political power to display in critical situations to his advantage, but When a governor is not liked either as person or because of his style of governance his power diminishes as we can see from what is going on in the state. Let us take a look at Elechis failures as per 2015 polls 1. Endorsement of Chukwu failed.....rejected by political class and over 80% of Ebonyians 2. Ward Delegate election.... Elechi and his quasi group lost the election. 3. Local government delegate Election.... Elechi and his group lost. 4. Attempted impeachment at ESHA.......Elechis group suspended,loses in the battle of impeachment. With some of these failures on the side of Elechi, it goes to show that the governor is losing control of the battle for the sole of the state come 2015. The governor who is in his mid eighties cannot deny fact that some of his decisions and the way they are implemented are awkward. 84 yr old man can no longer be allowed to determine the future of our dear state.
