Governor Haley signed a bill today, expanding the SC First Steps 4K Program into Horry County! We are proud to announce that The Learning Station has been chosen as an approved State 4K Program location. APPLY NOW for 2014-2015 School Year! S.C. First Steps 4 Year-old Kindergarten!!! The Learning Station is now accepting 4 Year-old Kindergarten applications. Qualifying families pay no tuition. Students attend classes 6.5 hours per day, five days per week during the 180-day school year. TO QUALIFY, YOUR CHILD MUST: ● Be 4 years old on or before September 1st. (Please provide a copy of your child’s birth certificate, passport or other official proof of age.) ● Be eligible for the free or reduced-price lunch program or Medicaid. (Please provide a copy of your tax return, proof of SNAP eligibility, TANF, SSI, etc.) ● Live in one of the following school districts: Abbeville, Allendale, Anderson 3, Bamberg 1, Bamberg 2, Barnwell 19, Barnwell 29, Barnwell 45, Berkeley, Calhoun, Cherokee, Chester, Chesterfield, Clarendon 1, Clarendon 2, Clarendon 3, Colleton, Darlington, Dillon 3, Dillon 4, Dorchester 4, Fairfield, Florence 1, Florence 2, Florence 3, Florence 4, Florence 5, Georgetown, Greenwood 51, Hampton 1, Hampton 2, Horry County , Jasper, Laurens 55, Laurens 56, Lee, Lexington 2, Lexington 3, Lexington 4, Marion, Marlboro, McCormick, Newberry, Orangeburg 3, Orangeburg 4, Orangeburg 5, Richland 1, Saluda, Spartanburg 7, Sumter, Union, or Williamsburg.
