Governor Malloy today announced that he is creating a working group to examine and improve the provision of services to members of the intellectual and developmental disabilities community. The Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) Service Improvement Working Group will examine gaps in existing I/DD services, and identify best practices and opportunities to improve provision of those services. The Working Group is comprised of leaders within the Disabilities Community & stakeholder representatives. CT Nonprofits is proud to announce that the appointed members include Julia Zaslow Wilcox, CT Nonprofits Senior Public Policy Specialist, & CT Nonprofits Members: Tracey Halstead Walker, Executive Director, Journey Found & Leslie Simoes, Executive Director, The Arc CT. In addition, Emily Angeloff, from Horizons will represent the perspective of self advocates.
