Governor’s Small Business Forum Comes to SPI September 13 South Padre Island, Texas, August 6, 2013— Entrepreneurs and small businesses can take advantage of the Governor’s Small Business Forums, sponsored by the Texas Governor’s Office, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and local partners on September 13 in South Padre Island. The forum will offer valuable tools, skills and knowledge needed to thrive in today’s fast-paced economy. Featuring a wide range of instructive seminars and expert speakers offering vital information on both public and private resources, the forums provide a great opportunity to network and connect with industry specialists, government officials, service providers and other regional businesses. Participants can benefit from information on Workforce and Skills Development, Social media/marketing training, Networking and business connections, State of Texas Small Business Awards, and speakers including TWC Commissioner Hope Andrade, Economist Dr. Ray Perryman, State Senator Eddie Lucio, Jr., and social media expert Frank Kenny.
