Govt donates 50 computers to Kpando Torkor Basic School In fulfillment of NDC 2012 manifesto to rapidly accelerate the supply of 400,000 computers to schools, p56 • Government through the Ministry of Fisheries and Aquaculture Development has donated 50 RLG computers to the E.P Basic in the Kpando Torkor Municipality of the Volta Region. • The gesture was in fulfillment of a promise made by the sector minister when she visited the area to inspect projects being executed by the Inland Landing Beach Committees in the municipality, with profit accruing from the sale of premix fuel. • Presenting the computers, the Minister commended the committees for using 50% of profits accrued from the sale to fund projects, including the provision of community centres and streetlights. • She said the projects prompted government to donate the computers. • She said government would support any recognized Fishing Landing Beach Committee to use proceeds from the sale of the premix fuel for development.
