Govt must ensure basic facilities: Yasir Pandith Srinagar Aug 02 ( Only Kashmir ): Senior State Congress leader Yasir Pandit has urged upon the Govt. to ensure power and water supply smooth celebration of Holy days like Shab-i-Qadr, Jumat-ul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr. In a statement to media Yasir demanded CA&PD to ensure the availability of essentials including Rice, Atta, Sugar and Kerosene oil and uninterrupted power supply on the Holy days especially during Shab-i-Qadr. Yasir further demanded authorities to ensure sanitation of public spaces, especially around mosques, he also demanded the Commissioner SMC to press additional men and machinery into service and ensure that no garbage should be visible on road side. He directed the authorities to check the menace of stray dogs for the convenience of the people during late night, besides wee hours. He also directed the district administration for market inspections to ensure quality food items at reasonable prices to the consumers of the all districts, especially in view of Eid-ul-Fitr.
