Govt provides stimulus packages for wood industry The furniture industry will be among beneficiaries of GH¢50 million stimulus package from government to boost competitiveness of the sector. The industry is expected to benefit from government’s GH¢50 million SME fund proposed in the budget. The Chief Executive of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) Mr. Seth Twum-Akwaboah had announced. The package is expected to assist local enterprises with some level of capacity to expand their production in order to bring down the cost and make prices of their products more competitive. It is to also enable furniture producers acquire the technology to enhance the finishing of locally produced furniture.
