Govt terminates contractual staff hired by ex-ministers Srinagar: The state government Thursday decided to terminate the services of the persons engaged on contractual basis in the personal sections of the former ministers. In an order issued by General Administration Department, it has been directed that the contractual staff shall be paid salary up to 8th January only and their services “deemed to have been terminated from the said date”. The GAD has directed that the officials working in the private office of former Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, at Jammu shall report to the General Administration Department. In the order, the state government has further directed that the staff belonging to the Gazetted and Non-Gazetted services of Secretariat as well as private secretaries and the administrative officers of the Heads of Department (HOD) cadre posted in the personal sections of the former ministers shall report to the GAD. The Class IV employees have also been ordered to report to the GAD. It has further been ordered that the officers working with the Heads of Departments (HODs), Corporations who were posted in the personal sections of the former ministers in different capacities shall report to their respective parent offices with immediate effect. The Class IV employees of different PSUs otherwise attached with the General Administration Department who were deployed in the personal sections of the former ministers in terms of their initial appointment shall report with the GAD. Moreover, Financial Advisor, Chief Accounts Officer in the former CM’s Secretariat shall make an inventory of the stocks, store items lying in the private offices of the former Chief Minister at Srinagar and Jammu respectively and keep the same in the safe custody for which some employees, as may be nominated by him, shall be deployed by the GAD. The GAD has further ordered that Tariq Ahmad Kakroo, OSD in the Chief Minister’s Private office, Srinagar, shall report back to his parent organization of J&K State Power Development Corporation. “It is further ordered that J&K State Power Development Corporation shall draw the salary of the officer against any available post and take further steps for revival of his lien against the post held by him in the Corporation, prior to his deputation in the CM’s Private Office at Srinagar, vide Government Order No. 301-GAD of 2009.”
