Govt to set up right to info cell at PMO The government has decided to establish an implementation and monitoring cell related to the rights to information at the Office of Prime Minister and Council of Ministers in view of the upcoming Constituent Assembly (CA) election. A meeting of the Council of Ministers today decided to set up the cell, said government spokesperson Madhav Prasad Poudel after the meeting. Similarly, the meeting agreed to allocate 10 bighas of land (out of 300 bighas) provided to the Armed Police Force Training Center based at Naubasta VDC-2 in Banke to construct a regional prison house. Likewise, the meeting decided to award Rs. 35,000 to Rs. 500,000 to sportspersons winning medals in karate and taekwondo events to be held under the international tournament in 2013 AD. The meeting endorsed the proposed India visit by the Nepal Army delegation. Chief of Army Staff Gaurav Shamsher Rana is leaving for India visit (from September 29 to October 5) leading a six- member delegation. As per the meeting decisions, Chairperson of Public Service Commission (PSC) Kayodevi Yami and member Rajendra Prasad Saha will be going to attend the third meeting of PSC chiefs of SAARC countries scheduled to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from December 12 to 14. Likewise, the meeting has decided to send PSC member Tikadutta Niraula and Saha at the 24th general assembly of the 24 th general assembly of Europa on public service scheduled to be held in Tokyo, Japan from October 14 to 19. The meeting agreed to send National Planning Commission (NPC) member-secretary Yubraj Bhusal to attend the United Nations skill enhancement workshop going to be held in the UN headquarters New York from October 9 to 11. The meeting also approved the study leave of Comptroller General Suman Sharma beginning from October 2. Similarly, the meeting has promoted eight second class officers (judiciary) to first class officers and made their post installation. The meeting accepted the resignation tendered by Satya Narayan Bhatta, Chairman of National Seeds Company Ltd Board of Directors, beginning from September 4 and to create five temporary posts of gazetted level for the tourism infrastructures development project and assign permanent employees on the posts, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Information and Communications Madhav Prasad Poudel. The meeting also agreed to provide Rs. 450,000 for the treatment of Homnath Khatiwada, staff of Narayani Zonal Office under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport Management and Rs. 500,000 for the treatment of Netra Prasad Poudel, first class non-gazetted officer with the Office of the Government Attorney, Janakpur.
