Gov’t inaugurates GNFS ICT laboratory In fulfillment of NDC 2012 manifesto to promote the use of ICT in all sectors of the economy, p56 • A modern information and communication laboratory built to enhance the operations of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has been inaugurated. • The GH 11,060 laboratory is situated at the headquarters of the GNFS. • The laboratory among other objectives will boost the communication system of the service as well as equip personnel with modern skills in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). • The establishment of the laboratory which was supported by the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communications (GIFEC), would also enable the GNFS to access data from organizations with and outside the country. • Computers have also been distributed to some of the GNFS stations in the regions and including Wa, Nandom and Ho.
