FREE CONCERT AT COFFEE CREEK SATURDAY CHESTERTON, IN- Enjoy a music-filled evening under the stars Saturday, July 19, 2014 at 7:00 pm at the Chesterton Amphitheater in the Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve. The Hobart Area Concert Band is performing at Concert at the Creek. Conductor Shirley Oppman raises the baton at 7 oclock for an evening featuring Disney blockbuster, Rock n Roll, and highlights from Grease! The Chesterton Amphitheater is the perfect venue for an evening of entertaining music for the whole family. “The Hobart Area Concert Band provides a diverse and up-tempo variety of music that everyone in the family will love,” commented Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy executive director, Katie Rizer. There is no charge for this concert and guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnic baskets. Local vendor, Whats Up, Dog! will be selling hotdogs and all the fixings during the concert. The Chesterton Amphitheater is located at 2401 Village Point in Chesterton, Indiana. The Chesterton Amphitheater is one of the many spectacular amenities in the 157-acre Coffee Creek Watershed Preserve. Over 4 miles of trails are open daily for hiking, biking, and running. Concertgoers can enjoy the music sitting in the grassy seating area or while strolling through the spectacular water plaza at the edges of Phillips Pond. The Coffee Creek Watershed Conservancy is in Indiana 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to identifying, maintaining, and enhancing the remnant biodiversity of the Coffee Creek Watershed while providing educational and recreational experiences for all.
