Grace Note for May 5, In 1932 an out-of-work jazz musician, Thomas Dorsey, almost gave up trying to eke out a living. He was on the brink of disbelief, but Gods still small voice called him back to life. Dorsey decided he would sing instead of sorrowing, he would love instead of hate, he would trust instead of disbelieve. His wrote this well-loved hymn: Precious Lord take my hand Lead me on, let me stand I am tired, I am weak, I am worn Through the storm, through the night Lead me on to the light; Take my hand precious Lord, Lead me home. We all face troubles and sadness in life, but we can choose as Dorsey did, choose to sing instead of giving in to sorrow, to love in Jesus name rather than to hate; and most importantly to trust in God in spite of or because of our disbelief.
