Grace & Our Irreconcilable Differences We were SO totally irreconcilable to God... that the only way He could possibly reconcile us to Himself... was to KILL US... as in totally destroying every fiber of the screwed up old man we were. I mean... when it came to life and God... we were about as far out... as far could be. We had a screwed up mind... contrary will... misdirected desires and emotions... dysfunctional relationships. Why or how would He possibly want to reconcile THAT... Ha! Of course, there are many who try to live as though that was the plan... still living in the old stuff... but now just a little closer to God... maybe... Ha! No... Jesus finished work had to be complete... so He took the whole of you and me with Him... down into His death. Fortunately for us... Jesus... took the death blow in our place. Out of His completed work... has come the awesome new Grace creation... the awesome new you and the awesome new me. Talk about a total make over. Now... we are SO totally reconciled to God... so reconciled to His Mind... so reconciled to His Will... so reconciled to His Purpose... so reconciled to His Love... so reconciled to His Presence... That it takes His powerfully resurrected Life in us... to truly experience it. We didnt make any of it happen... but we get to walk in the awesome glory and power of it. Grace through faith brings it all home to you... to me... and introduces it to our neighbors... who may still be operating in those old dead irreconcilable differences. Thank You, Jesus!
