Grace or Wrath? The mercy, grace, and love of GOD are prominently taught in the Bible. However, scripture revealing the wrath of GOD are not obscure or isolated texts. GOD is angry with the wicked every day (Psalm 7:11). It is of the LORDs mercies that we are not consumed (Lamentation 3:22). The wrath of GOD...is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation (Revelation 14:10). GODs love and mercy shines especially bright when we realize that through CHRIST we can be saved from the wrath of GOD. Good works, our heritage, or whatever else we may trust in to save us from that wrath will not do. It is our choice. We must accept GODs plan of salvation through CHRIST as our only hope. We who have receive CHRIST and obey His Gospel will abhor that which is evil and cleave to that which is good. We will reprove sin and warn sinners to flee from the wrath of GOD. We will point them to the Gospel of CHRIST as their only hope. There will be no revival in the church and no repentance of sinners until people become aware that sin is exceeding sinful and that the fierce wrath of GOD will be poured upon unrepentant sinners. JESUS will come, in flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not GOD, and that obey not the gospel of our LORD JESUS CHRIST (2 Thessalonians 1:8). Have we found safety from GODs wrath by receiving grace through CHRIST and surrendering our lives to Him in complete obedience? Judgment must begin at the house of GOD ...and if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? (1 Peter 4:17-18). -Lehman Martin
