Graceland’s Lamoni Campus will hold an Active Threat Drill TODAY - TopicsExpress

Graceland’s Lamoni Campus will hold an Active Threat Drill TODAY at 2:40 p.m. The purpose of the drill is to familiarize the campus with the latest safety measures in protecting life in an active threat event. Facility Services has purchased for our campus a third siren which is the “Active Threat” siren. It is a wailing siren rather than the long blast for severe weather, or the intermittent blast for a fire drill. Please make a point to listen and become familiar with the sound of this siren. The Active Threat Drill will begin promptly at 2:40 p.m. with the sounding of the siren. At the same time, a RAVE text alert will be sent to all registered mobile devices. Please follow the instructions in the text message. The drill will end at 2:50 p.m. The drill will be held with the assistance of the Lamoni Police Department, who were recently trained by an instructor from the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC). There are NO plans for a reenactment of a threat.
