Graduate Software Developer - METERology (Glasgow/Flexible location for the right candidate) 6 months initial placement with potential for permanent position for the right person. Salary: £18,000 - £20,000 p.a. METERology is part of a small group of companies with established solutions in the Business to Business marketplace, which range from real time energy monitoring, through online health and safety management to visitor management. We have a requirement for a Graduate Software Developer to join our team and play a key role in supporting our existing customers as well as developing our solutions in line with customer requirements to ensure that our products remain relevant and best in class. Duties and Responsibilities • Web application development (C#/.NET), including the implementation of MS Chart Controls and SSRS. • Windows service/SQL Server development to support core web applications. • System installs and configuration on customer sites (mostly performed remotely) • System upgrades for existing customers • Development of internal business systems as appropriate Technical Skills Essential • C#/.NET • Microsoft SQL Server & T-SQL Desirable • Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services • Windows Server, especially IIS 6, IIS7 & DNS • AJAX/Java Script • Modbus, M-Bus, BACnet, DLMS/COSEM, Zigbee Non-Technical Requirements Essential • Trustworthy, Reliable, Dependable • Willingness to learn Desirable • Good people skills, Good communication skills, Sense of humour Applications, including CV and covering letter/email should be submitted to Brian Hunter by email to [email protected] meterology.co.uk/
