Graeme Cross asked what I thought of this article he shared with me. I think the author (a Filipina) did a very good job in answering some of the misconceptions about dating a foreigner. One distinction I do need to point out is that she comes from a Filipino family that is more educated and independent minded than most in the Philippines. But even so, her responses are valid. In fact, coming from a somewhat wealthier portion of the Philippines demographics, she proves the point that not all Filipinas are seeking Foreigners just for the money. She was doing fine on her own before meeting her boyfriend from the UK. (Who does not have much money, btw.) A good article, I recommend it. (y) -- Reekay Velez
