Gran Rubina wins award! The partnership between the architecture firms AG5 (Denmark) and PDW (Indonesia) is one of the very interesting Danida Business Partnership projects. Together they have designed the office tower Gran Rubina, which is currently being built in the up-and-coming EpiCentrum area in Kuningan, Jakarta. What makes this impressive building stand out from other new building projects in Jakarta, is the full commitment to sustainability and energy efficient solutions. The low energy consumption (30 % less than average), minimized heating from the sun, sustainable construction materials and waste management, and the special roof gardens means that the partnership is a pioneer of green building in Indonesia. The project does not go unnoticed internationally either, and last month the design won the prestigious International Property Award. The Danish Minister for Trade and Development, Mogens Jensen says, The award confirms that in Denmark we are very strong within sunstainable bulding design, and it is evident that we must export that knowledge to the benefit of both the developing countries and Denmark.
