Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi in his Fiqh course in Qom, Iran, pointing out to the criminal acts of Boko Haram stated: “This group affiliate themselves with Islam whereas they are ignorant to Islam, have kidnapped more than two hundred girls and have announced they intend to sell them for low prices” He emphasized: “These girls’ sin was that they were studying in school and according to this group, girls should not study and therefore are worthy to be kidnapped” He said that all these events are the effect of the vicious tree which has been cultivated by the Takfiris and emphasized: “The world should know, these people are ignorant to Islam and aren’t Muslim at all. They are out of the Islamic realm and in our belief, they are wild beings who shouldn’t even be called humans”
