Grange United Weekend Results: Nivea for Men Cup: Grange United 2 ( Kev Farrell, Mousey Wright ) FC Blanch 1 The Sunday side needed extra time to dispose of Premier B outfit FC Blanch in a game severely affected by the poor weather. The beginning of the game found both sides thinking what way would be best way to deal with the poor conditions. FC Blanch put themselves ahead when they scrambled the ball over the line from a corner. Just before the half, Kev Boyd was taken down from behind and the ref pointed to the spot which Kev Farrell finished well, levelling the sides. In the second half Grange tried to push on, however they found many of their chances thwarted by the FC Blanch keeper, who was in fine form. With the sides level the game went to extra time. Mousey Wright was brought on 5 minutes into extra time and won the game when he reacted first in the box and fired home the winner, putting grange into the last 32 of the Nivea. AUL Division One Saturday Grange United 4 ( Ste Byrne, Luke Ryan, Mousey Wright, Ben Arkins ) Baldoyle Utd 3 Grange completed the double over Baldoyle in the second derby of the year. Grange got off to a good start when Ste Byrne was on hand to hand to knock in Ben Arkins effort which had rebounded off the post. Frank Grant then levelled for Baldoyle when he was allowed space to turn onto his left and finished well. Grange put themselves ahead yet again when Mousey continued his fine form with another goal. Grange were looking dangerous from corners and Luke Ryan headed in Ian Mc Cluskeys corner to make it 3-1 going into the half. In the second half both sides had their chances, Baldoyle made it 3-2 when their number 8 scored a free from 30 yards out. Grange hit Baldoyle on the counter when Ben Arkins got through on goal and finished well. Baldoyle scored a header in the dying seconds but Grange held out for the three points.
