Grant Thornton 5k Corporate Road race – Dublin Docklands – Tuesday 2nd September “John Considine knocked almost 1 ½ minutes of his previous best as he clocked 26.08 in the Grant Thornton 5km road race held on the Dublin Docklands last Tuesday night. The corporate team challenge attracted almost 4,000 runners and 958 teams and John who always gives better value was representing Dunnes Stores who had 23 teams on the line. Oldbridge 5km Parkrun – Saturday 6th September “Anne O’Brien is one of our newest and enthusiastic members and she ran her first Oldbridge 5Km parkrun last Saturday clocking a respectable 30.55 in the process – Well don Anne – full results on Oldbridge parkrun website Bohermeen 5 mile Road Race – Sunday 7th September “We had plenty of Foleys on the line at the 42nd running of the Rennicks cup held on a warm morning in Bohermeen on sunday. Niall led the crew home in 9th place in a time of 29.14 which was also good enough for first man over 40 home. His wife Sonya led the LADIES team TO 3rd place with good runs from Lorraine Mangan, Gillian O’Regan and Siobhan Foley. Maggie Maher defies medical opinon and science and Tommy and keeps running and she ran the supporting 5k in a time of 25.50 which was inside her 26 minute target The event was ran in aid of SOSAD who can be contacted on WWW.SOSADIRELAND.IE OR 041 9848754.
