Granting of bail to accused irks Ukhrul JAC UO BUREAU UKHRUL, JULY 21 The Joint Action Committee constituted against the life attempt on a girl child, has expressed shock over the manner in which one of the prime accused, Jim Horam s/o Antipus Horam, who had been arrested under unbailable offence act bearing criminal case No. 11(2) 2013 Ukhrul Police Station U/S 202/342/326/367/307/330/506/374/34IPC has been bailed out even as trials were still on. A press note issued by JAC Convenor AC Thotso and its Secretary H Thotchuila, has said that the entire people of Ukhrul burst out grunts of resentment against bailing out of the prime accused. “We therefore vehemently condemn the bail granted to the accused criminal at this stage,” the statement further stated. Deeply concerned about the new development, the JAC leaders said, “The sanctity of justice institution in the state has appeared questionable.” “JAC is now set to move all right thinking people and people’s organizations state-wide to get justice done and make the truth triumph at the earliest,” the JAC added.
