Graphic violence being the request of the 3-4 year old ECHOs of two different male clients of mine upon the perpetrators (1 step parent and the other both birth parents) has been a tremendous experience for me. Intuitively I believed, a) what the ECHO needs can never be wrong, b) resolving that extreme anger and aggression safely with me was the most advantageous, c) there is no better alternative than MR. The extent of trauma a toddler maintains is staggering. They are far more intelligent and advanced than the world credits them. I am honored to have had the privilege to bring these clients into such peace and euphoric relief. Please share your experiences dealing with very young ECHOs and graphic violence upon perpetrators.
