#Grateful... Two & half years ago, as our community was under shock that its public school was under threat of imminent closure, this Facebook page was started along with other social media efforts, to tell the vital story of the people of this community, its history, its institutions and its children. At that time there was virtually zero online presence about Friendsville as a community. Begun and carried on entirely through volunteer efforts, we have worked hard to provide relevant, creative, informative, funny and useful content to tell the story of a great community both to itself, and to as many as could be reached. As this new school year begins, it is deeply gratifying to see Friendsville Elementary School opening again for the 2014-2015 school year. From those dark, dreary days, we hope that the effort started on this page has contributed to help Friensville Elementary and the greater Friendsville Community stay strong, and get a little stronger. Thanks to all who have worked hard on behalf of FES, and all the very best to the children, parents, families, teachers and staff as its #BackToSchool again in #Friendsville!
