Grateful on this 17th day for the sense of taste. I have noticed through the years that my appreciation for different flavors has changed, but I think I still have some fairly lively buds. Tonights fajitas were among Jaynes finest yet, and I just decided that the taste of a pecan really is to be preferred over a cashew, but perhaps not quite on par with a brazil-nut. But then I realize, I have friends who would have none of these if peanuts were available, and would want no cumin in their fajitas at all. I am about to decide what style of music I prefer, but I dont discount the value of others. I know my own taste in those I enjoy time with, but not to the exclusion of others (with whom Im much more likely to become more fully myself). Some of you may prefer Miracle Whip over mayonnaise, as I did for years (and still do on some select items), but I dont anymore. I will not label you if you will not label me...unless you label me grateful. Because Im grateful we arent all the same. I dont have to like oysters in my dressing, even though I love oysters fried, baked, stewed, or Rockefeller. God has infused our world with people of many tastes, and flavored each of us with unique blends of that certain something that makes us who we are. Lets enjoy this stew we are in, for it is a marvelous mess, indeed!
