Gratitude List: Wonderful Women Wednesday (on Saturday Morning....playing catch up) 1.) I am grateful to have been BLESSED with two awesome Grandmothers. Both so different but extremely great women just the same. My Paternal Grandmother, Mrs. Christine Cole, aka Chris, GRANNY, Pudding(Queen of Rice Pudding), and GG. She is a survivor and the mortar that binds our family together. She reminds me of those old Duracell commercials because she keeps going and going and going (and thanks be to God for providing her with the strength). I will also call her the concerned one. We cant do anything without Granny saying, Be careful and make sure you drive safely....wear your seatbelt. That is LOVE My Maternal Grandmother was Delree. She was just fine with that but dont call her Desaree( like Aunt Irene did)...she hated that but never said a mumbling word to her about it. HEHE. Delree was just that kind of person. She never really let things bother her too much and was strong in her conviction. She loved to sing (Especially with here choir at St. Joseph)and I think that might be one of the many ways we connected so well( I love to sing too). What a lady she was and she definitely had so much style and grace. For me she was more than a Grandmother, she was also my FRIEND( insert a little bit of You are my friend Patti style). Again she was the typos that to know her, was to LOVE HER. She was an example of a Sweet Sweet Spirit in the flesh. Even though I was not her child she loved me as if I were and she always shelter me from the BLOWS OF LIFE. She taught me so much and we could just talk for hours. Plus she could COOK!! She was the Biscuit Queen. Now she has gone to Heaven to sing with the angels there and I miss her dearly. Love you, Granny. 2.) I am grateful for my Sisters....Michele K. Pearson, Zekeiah Cole Hunt, Brittany Shannon Wise, Jacque Cole, Alexis Baker. They have all turned into beautiful women that love God and are loved by so many. 3.) I am grateful for my God-Mothers. I have so many!! Betty Pearson Webb, Angela Billups, Pam Johnson, Marcia Lowe, Rosa Smith, Helen Robinson, Betty Hope, Deryle West Ingram...and I sure I have missed some. I am just LOVED. These Gratitude List bring back memories and really make me think about just how BLESSED I AM!! Some people dont know that they are loved...I do!!
