Gratitude Speech of my son Everyone of us has a reason to be thankful even in the midst of chaos and struggles, of despair and disappointments, and of failures and losses. But we, people. Only see the good things which are worthy to be grateful of. Let us always remember, those failures, struggles, and disappointments are part of the ingredients that makes our dish one of a kind. We should be thankful of those circumstances because those things will make us a better person. When I was growing up, I’ve experienced a lot of failures, failures that made me lost hope in myself. Little did I know that God was slowly molding me into the person He wants me to be. I am not there yet, but I know He will continue to guide me and His grace continues to catch me. Now, come this day, the day which I will look back in the future and say to myself “I would not have done this without those people whom God sent to help me.”Namely to my parents, Mr. Wilfred & Marylo Hatague. Who always supported me in everything that I do. Who always guide me in my path. Who selflessly sacrificed their well-being for their children’s sake. To my brother, John Wilfred Hatague, the one who is always there when I needed help and to my sister, Jacklyn Mary Hatague, whom I always adore because of what she is in the arms of the Almighty. I could not ask for more. To my friends and classmates, the people who showed me what life is and how it works. The people who brought a mixture of memories into my life. I will not forget you guys. To all of my instructors, who taught me valuable things into my life. Things that will help me in times of need and things that will enlighten me in my journey. Things that I wouldn’t trade for the world. To Sir Andrew & Ma’am Gina Aznar, who is like a second parents to all of us. Both of you manifests a parents true love for their children. And these 163 cadets felt like they have a real parents in the regiment. To Sir Joel Santosidad, who carved a legacy into my life. The person who helped me realized that the ideals that I believed in should be followed. Though there are some things that I disagree with what Sir Joel engraved in us, those differences modified the way I think and the way I see life. Thank you Sir. I have met a lot of people, some I just only crossed paths with, some stayed and some became part of my life. All of them contributed to my advancement. Whether big or small contributions, it was vital for my growth. I could not conceive how thankful I am to those people who helped me in every way possible. Indeed, words are not enough to convey my gratitude to those people I’ve met in my 19 years of existence. And to the last One I have to thank, the One who is Omnipotent and Omniscient. Who knows everything that I am and everything that I desire. Whom I cannot live without. The One who always wipe my tears. The One who is there in every victory and accomplishments. Without Him this celebration will never be made possible. He is worthy to receive the highest distinction, the greatest glory, the widest honor and the deepest praise. You gave me this chance. And I will use it to tell to these people how great, how majestic You are to me. May this achievement in my life reflect who You really are. I bring back all that is set for You. My troubles, pain, failures, heartaches, achievements and happiness cooperate toward one end – the glory of God.
