Gratitude day 4 - I am grateful for a good sense of humor and laughter. I caused a little controversy today in the commissary. For those that dont know, in order to use one of the shopping carts you must either have a one euro coin or a fob-thingy that allows you to break off the cart from the rest of the herd ... As it were. Anyone, my fob with the Popes face on it (Yes, I find it mildly sacrilegious, but I deal with it. I lost the one with the Italian flag on it.) was no where to be found in my purse and I didnt have a coin. So, I borrowed one of the enormous kinder carts with the truck front for your toddler / small child in which to ride. It seemed to cause people some angst. Did I not know where my child was? Were you allowed to use one if you were in fact child-less either at the moment or in general? Did I perhaps have a child that I was not forthcoming about? Honestly, it was most fun Ive had grocery shopping in a long time. I practically giggled the whole way through the store as people peeked in to see my darling cherub at the wheel steering wheel who was in fact not there. By the way, those things are a pain in the ass to steer!
