Gratitude makes us richer. We fall in love with the world, we disregard the defects of others and reinterpret the potentially offensive comments. Without gratitude, we focus on the wretched sins of others and, in doing so, destroy our own mind, body and soul; we live in a cumulus that doesn’t lift unless we help it along. Loathing festers inside us, and makes us shrivel up like a prune. It’s up to us to change the scenario, stop it en route, fill it with gratitude and compassion, disperse the contagious black clouds and cast off the shackles heavy with resentment. Instead of being eaten up by discontent, we become a fountainhead of goodness that is highly contagious. We become an ancient fountain of gratitude and compassion, with headed jets spouting out words of love.
