Gratitude to God for the blessings in our lives is obviously a good thing, but the holiest form of gratitude, as I see it, is the simply thank you that we say to each other. Theres a reason why we teach our children to have manners, to say Please and Thank you. Its so they will be more easily loved. How often have we thought to ourselves, Wow, he (or she) didnt even say thank you! And yet how often have we ourselves forgotten to say it. We might think were grateful for something, yet forget how important it can be to say so. Lets commit, this holiday, to show more gratitude to other people in our lives...to write the thank you note...to pick up the phone and say, Thank you...to send a card or flowers or a gift to someone who has helped us along the way. To you, those who have supported and encouraged me and even donated to my campaign for Congress, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have embarked on the biggest challenge of my life, and to feel the support of like-minded people is a blessing for which I am extremely grateful. I hope your Thanksgiving holiday is filled with love. Thank you for filling mine. xo
