Gratitudes, Day 2: 1. Breath, both as an asthmatic who hates that - TopicsExpress

Gratitudes, Day 2: 1. Breath, both as an asthmatic who hates that stifling feeling of not being able to breathe, and as a storyteller. 2. Words. Ive always loved that poem by Anna Hempstead Branch that begins, My mother had the prettiest tricks of words and words and words....like singing birds.... and Ive been fortunate to have been born in a family that valued clear expression. Being my grannys eyes also helped me learn to describe things in detail, from age 3 on. 3 Story. Like everyone else, my life is imbued with story, but i was also blessed in being born into an immersive bardic tradition. Folktale, fairytales, family stories, personal anecdotes, historical stories, Bible stories, sermons, teaching tales, ghost stories, literary ones...What a wealth I had, from family, neighbors, teachers, friends, total strangers, verbally and in other media. And so many more to hear/read/tell! Any one else want to join in? Three things youre grateful for, each day for five days, and pass it on!
