Graves County Schools will be in session for students, all employees November 4th; teachers only to work Tuesday, November 12th. The Graves County School Districts calendar for the current school year originally included a professional development day for teachers only on Monday, November 4th. The district has amended its calendar, due to the special election scheduled for Tuesday, November 12th. The new schedules makes Monday, November 4th a regular school day for all students and employees. The professional development day for teachers only now is scheduled for Tuesday, November 12th. The change accommodates Graves Countys special election concerning the school property tax rate. Standard procedure for elections in recent years has been for students to be out of school since some precincts voting stations are located in schools.
