Graveyards and cemeteries are places of lingering memories. They connect the living to the dead, and are a fixed point to which people return to remember. Dreaming that you are walking through a cemetery represents an inability to let go of something important or dear to you. While the most common interpretation is that dreaming about cemeteries is related to death, this can actually be anything from missing someone who went abroad to feeling the loss of a favourite fictional character. In essence, dreaming about cemetery means that you are struggling with psychologically dealing with a huge loss in your life. In other interpretations, we can look at the graveyard as being symbolic of a deep wish to literally bury something and forget about it. If you have committed a ‘sin’, or something that you are deeply ashamed of, the dream might be reflecting this shame. Try and talk to someone you trust about it or seek forgiveness for yourself.
