Great Aunt - this is my late Great Auntie Ruby. We spent a lot of time we her as bairns, learning to plant bulbs, sell daffodils, grow hyacinths, enter flower shows, work on tombola stands at sales o work, visit jacquis cafe, go for ootins roond da toon on da toon service where we popped into don Leslies for a peach and the mint toot fruities before getting the bus home, baking rock buns, sorting buttons, I spent a long time wondering what fishermans friends tasted like, dressing dollys Ruby knitted clothes fur, learning how to always match your accessories to your outfits.... Endless funs. She was a brilliant old lady who we loved dearly. Islas middle name is Ruby after her and my sister Suzanne Mansons house (built behind auntie Rubys house) is named Ruby so there will always be a Ruby at 4 burgh rd!
