Great BOSA! By Gods Grace We Stand! Today, we had an extensive deliberation at the meeting with Big Uncle, our proprietor and honourary English teacher; Bishop started the meeting on a lighter note with a discussion on connectivity (ie relationship) where he hammered on Efe Imadiyi and Merit Osarumen saying that he notice an uncommon chemistry between both parties; well Efe agreed while Merit was like...We are watching o. There is God o. Lol! Meeting commenced at about 1.10pm with an opening prayer by Pst. Festus Enarinmwian (BOSA Presido). Proprietor recounted how Osas Agbonifo had on several occasions pestered him to call us together to set up this group. And today is a reality. Noted that years ago, some junior Bowe students (2001 set precisely) approached him on their intention to establish Old Students Association (OSA), but he stood his ground that they must consult with the senior and pioneer students (i.e. us) and that was how the association died a natural death Oga stressed on the difficulty therein in setting up and running a group of BOSA magnitude. Big Uncle further stressed on our relocation to Upper Sokponba, and how we assisted greatly in building that school and remained resilient after which he served us packaged yam and beans and we sang a song thus: ore gbe baba o, meaning its too far o. He appreciated our effort so far in seeing to a successful startup of BOSA. Secretary read out the meetings agenda and the essence of organizing the 7th January meeting; where it became necessary to meet with the Bishop to know whats in the pipeline for Bowe. Proprietor passionately appreciated our roggedity and the pride and confidence he has on us, and appreciated our current place in the society. That his major dream for Bowe is to make it of an international standard. Gloria appreciated proprietors ability to settle the loan with the bank which was acquired to protect certain interests as it concerns Bowe. Big uncle stressed that facilities he requires at the school are 1. Borehole 2. Electricity 3. Security 4. Manpower, and a general face-lift of the school; and stated that school reopens on 12th January, 2015. He advised that the most appropriate time to publicize BOSA is April; and promised to periodically furnish the house with students database so as to increase rapidly in number. Welfare package for members was also agreed upon.; where we can be of great assistance to ourselves. Great BOSA; We will always keep everyone of you posted on BOSA development! Pls. always be ready to take action when we call. Next meeting holds this Sunday 11th January, 3pm at Uyi Grand Hotel, GRA, Benin City. That meeting will serve as a launch-pad for BOSAs operationalities; come one come all. BOSA Must Succeed! We Must Rise! We Must Join Hands! BOSA; By Gods Grace We Stand.
