Born in 1977, Shreveport, Louisiana native Kenny Wayne Shepherd (KWS), I would suggest, is a player that you should definitely check out if you are interested in guitar playing of the highest calibre. KWS began performing from the turn of the 90s when he was 13 years old. Hed seen Stevie Ray Vaughan play at one of his fathers promotional concerts when he was seven years old and had taught himself to play. The influence of SRV is obvious, nevertheless Kenny has gone on to be a hugely respected player in his own right. He has a string of hit singles/ albums to his credit and is a multi Grammy Award nominee. He is currently touring world-wide (hell be coming to the UK towards the end of October) performing with his band. Try to catch a show if you can. Anyway, the proof is in the pudding.
