Great JEHOVAH, our God, Creator and Sustainer of all life, Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and Father of those born of Your Holy Spirit: Thank You for this Friday, the last day of the work week for many. Thank You for Your mercies yet extended to all of us though our sins are many. Thank You for forgiving those of us who have repented for our sins believing on Jesus Christ whom You gave us as a sin free offering for all our sins for which we repent. Make us aware of our sins, even the hidden ones, so that we may repent. Let Your will and not ours be done in us and with us for our benefit and for the benefit of our loved ones and others. Help Christians in this country not be so fearful of and disturbed over the things they see happening with our government and elected officials in what they do, the laws that they pass, and the laws that they enforce. Help us to understand that all power is yet in Your hands, that government leaders, presidents, and kings are Your secular ministers and must answer to You. Help us to realize that as a people, our government is no better than we are as a people and that our kingdom is not of this world, that wheat and tares are growing together in this country (and in our churches), and that You will do the separating at Your harvest time. We all must stand before the judgment seat of Christ. Help us to be prepared in Jesus and led by Your Holy Spirit until Jesus returns or we leave this world. Please let Your goodness and mercy continue upon us while You delay in Jesus return to the earth to receive his Church. Yours are the power, the glory, and the honor forever. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
