Great Spirit, Almighty Healer, Yehwah, Creator of all things, with humbled hearts we come together as one to offer up many thanks. We thank you for the pureness of the untouched oceans and lands. We thank you for the countless marine and animal life that remain untouched. We thank you for the clouds that hold the moisture of the waters and bring them to thirsty lands. We thank you for Grandfather Sun as he rises slowly over the eastern horizon to bring warmth and growth to the life that surrounds us. We thank you for the calmness of the ocean waters in the early morning hours. For the magnificence of the mountainous terrain, we thank you. We thank you for the sacredness of the circle, and the knowledge that there is no new thing under the sun. There are numerous societies that work under the cloak of darkness, we ask for transparency and the veils of secrecy to be lifted. We ask for integrity, honor and compassion to fill the halls of government. We ask for an end to the greed, lust of power and wealth that currently operates in all governments. We ask for comfort to be given to those that are low in spirit. We ask for comfort, strength and guidance to be granted to those that are deeply depressed and feel hopelessness. We ask for healing for those suffering through diverse diseases and disorders. We ask for your hands to guide those of the surgeons that will be operating within the confines of the operating rooms. We ask for patience when we tend to do things on our own. We ask for forgiveness for the destruction that we have caused over the centuries. We ask for the end of forced assimilation that only serves to eradicate the indigenous people, culture and heritage. We ask for greater compassion to enter into the hearts of those that look the other way, rather than helping those in need. We ask for an end to those, like our Brother Leonard Peltier, that have been falsely imprisoned over crimes they did not commit. We ask for an end to modern-day slavery. We ask for mercy for those that follow you and judgement to those that have turned their backs in order to walk in darkneww. We thank you for our Elders and the wisdom and life lessons they provide us with. May we endeavor to bring them the respect they so deserve. We thank you for our children that will inherit and build upon the foundation we lay before them. May we live our lives toward bringing forth a better world for future generations. We thank you for our daily food and ask for its blessing. We thank you for Grandmother Moon as she watches over us during our slumber. We thank you for Father Sky and Mother Earth that serve to protect and sustain life. We thank you for the precious gift of life. Emenv
