Great article. Worth a read. I dont care what any damn book or authority says, cosleeping is right for me & mine. Every other mammal on the planet protects & bonds with & feeds & nurtures & keeps warm & snuggles with their babies for varying lengths of time. Why would homosapiens be any different? Makes no sense. To leave a child alone in a room to cry it out is barbaric (IMHO). It does not create independence, it creates insecurity with a sense of abandonment every night. Are some kids good with it? Sure. Maybe. Everyone is different. When does a child need to sleep in their own bed by themselves? I dont know. When theyre ready to is my answer. I know that there arent any teenagers still cosleeping. Do I wake up with a crick in my neck? Yep. Sometimes. But its so worth it to me, because there is one fact I know to be true. When I am old a grey, I will not give a rats ass how early I got my kids to sleep in their own beds, but I will pray for just one more moment in time to feel my childs breath on my cheek. This is a time I will cherish for eternity. Just my $0.02.
