Great article by Ivana Zara Dostojevski about individuality. The importance of our own individual self-work, lessons to learn and talents to develop in the process of awakenings gets sometimes drowned in the idealized notion of collective awakening, revolution, hive mind group think, and all kinds of movements where people lose their individuality and look for external guidance, taking on dogmatic beliefs and getting cut-off from their intuition, inner knowing and individual power. Creating community in this day and age and supporting each other is important but not at the expense of ones individuality (not to be mistaken for our ego personality) for we all have different lessons to learn and talents to develop. Discernment of who we engage with and give our energy to is important, for there are forces that can tempt, distract and drain us energetically, mostly working through others, hindering our personal awakening progress. But in the end these are just lessons and teachers as well in order to strengthen our spiritual immune system through gaining and applying knowledge and most often that requires conscious struggle and painful lessons at times. We are all one but were are not all the same and we dont get to move on until we learn our lessons. External revolution without sincere self-work will keep us stuck in the loop in the long run. There are vast different levels of being and consciousness in humans even if we look the same from the outside. There wont be a collective awakening anytime soon. Not every human being is here to awaken to begin with, nor do many people actually have a soul, nor is there anything wrong about that, just part of the evolution of consciousness and life in this 3D body on planet earth is just a school. All there is are lesson. There is no doubt that the world we live in is changing. The very word “awakening” is dominating throughout the alternative circles and medias where it’s been widely written about and referred to. But what is awakening? What does it really mean? To get the answer to that question it’s important to look deeply into the structure of society. Who are those who hold the pillars of society? Individuals; and this phenomenon of awakening should be observed on an individual level. It’s a paradox to talk about the awakening of the world if it’s individuals are not awakened.
