Great clinical yesterday! I spent the afternoon in the cardiac cath lab, observing a difficult stent placement. Dr. Ahuja and the rest of the staff were amazing, in explaining everything to me and allowing me to assist when appropriate. I am walking surprisingly well, after wearing a lead vest and skirt, while standing for three hours. They said the standard weight of the lead protection garb is about 16 pounds, and I felt every pound. Kudos to those who do what they do every day! This semester has been the best learning opportunity, putting it all together, after two years of learning. ETA to graduation: Less than seven weeks :)
