Great day of workouts! Did a 60-minute Yoga class led by Laura and then a couple hours later did a 60-minute Barbell Strength led by Heather. My wife Robin came and did BBS with me, which is always fun! Enjoyed seeing Rudy in both classes, and Yvonne M Dulak made a special guest appearance in BBS, not as the instructor, but as a fellow student! Worked hard in both classes! Then quickly changed into my running gear and hopped onto the treadmill for a quick 6 mile progressive tempo run. Started out at 8.0 mph (7:30 pace) and quickly increased the speed to 9.0 mph (6:40 pace) during the first mile, and then gradually increased the speed during the rest of the the run topping out at 10.5 mph (5:43 pace) for the last half mile. Ended up running 6 miles in 37:46 (6:18 avg/mi). Felt strong! Was surprised how quickly my heart rate dropped during the cool down phase. After one minute walking at 4 mph, my heart rate had already dropped to 122 bpm, and over the next minute and a half it dropped below 100. Was really surprised at how strong I felt today, especially after running 14 miles and doing spin class yesterday! Feeling pumped! :-)
