Great day today. There was a gathering of completed Vans RV series aircraft. A friend of mine, who is helping me by teaching me how to do metal, electrical, electronic, and all things aeronautical, completed his RV 8 several years ago and was planning to attend this gathering. He invited me along. The event was planned for yesterday, but weather forced a delay for a rain date today. We launched around 11 am and headed for Westminster, Maryland and the Carroll County Airport. Partly cloudy and a bit bumpy, but it was great to get back into the air and FLY. I enjoyed every minute. There were 46 RVs at the fly in and I had the chance to chat with several RV 7A builder/pilots. Great exchanges. There was more cloud build up on the return flight. I loved e re minute of the return flight. Inspirational and motivational for me. Tomorrow, back to building an airplane. Great day and great stuff.
