Great full-time opportunity for a client-facing Java Developer with a global software modernization company. This is a remote, work-from-home role where you will consult with the end clients to finalized their software modernization and ensure all requirements are fulfilled as requested. Our client provides software modernization tools that transform legacy systems into modern Java architecture. Their proprietary tools enable the majority of the code transformation. Your job is to fulfill major enhancements once the main systems are converted. You will use your expertise in Java SE and J2EE technologies to accomplish these goals. You will have a lot of client interface to understand and define additional system requirements, consult on best solutions and develop the systems, so you must have a strong communications skills and business analysis skills in addition to your software development skills. You will have a global team of developers in support of your efforts, but you will be the primary technical liaison for the end client. You should have 5-10 years of Java software development with standard Java tools and frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts, HTTP, Axis, SCF, Restlet, MVC patterns, Eclipse IDE, Eclipse PDE, SoapUI, Maven and/or Ant.
