Great grandma Lobbs surprised the grand kids with an overnight visit last night. They love her so much. They taught grandma how to play Battleship. If you look at the second picture, you will note how intently Fischer is looking at grandma. He just keep staring at her face and I could see the wheels turning in his little mind. When I asked him why he was staring at grandma, he became embarrassed. Later, when we were alone, I asked him again. I was pretty sure I knew the answer, but he didnt want to share with me.When I finally asked, Were you studying grandmas face because her skin is old? He hung his head and whispered, Yes. I told him that it was OK to look at grandmas face because all of us will grow old and our faces will change and all the wrinkles and sagging skin are signs that we have lived a happy life. I am certain that the face of great-grandma was forever embedded in his heart as he studied her face in those few moments.
