Great info about how to help return a lost dog to their people. I would like to add one more thing to this list though. Please do what ever you can to verify ownership of the dog before turning them over to any person other than an ACO or other official. I say this because we had a case up here where a lost dog was found and a person claimed her that was NOT the owner saying she would return her to owner. Poor thing has seizures and is now missing again as the person did not reunite with owner. Thanks Donna for some great suggestions.
